<br />
Hey guys! Today I have for you all an interview and giveaway from the author Jenny Morton Potts. She is the author of the book <i>Hiding</i>. First off, a thanks to Jenny for taking the time to let me interview you. Let's get started!<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<b>1. Can you tell us about your challenges in getting a book published?</b><br />
The challenge is firstly in getting read by the right person and to an increasing extent, at<br />
the right time. Agents now – and you still really need one for traditional publishing –<br />
have a list of what they are looking for. They almost have a shopping basket, particularly<br />
in the States, for genre books. They know what they want to read next, or rather what<br />
their readers want to read next. This is hard to adhere to as a writer but if you can, it will<br />
bring success. So finding the right fit with a literary agent is most of the battle.</center>
<center>
<br />
<b>2. Where do you get your ideas?</b></center>
<center>
I have a million ideas which come to me in a meteor shower constantly. They come from<br />
everything I see, hear and feel. This is something I have always had but I believe we all<br />
do; just, my head flowed like that from the start, rather than needing to find a tap in.</center>
<center>
<b><br /></b></center>
<center>
<b>3. What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why?</b></center>
<center>
In <i>Hiding</i> I particularly like the slower chapters. They are deeper, exploratory and they<br />
include very personal moments for me. The book is dedicated to my Gramps and I was<br />
able to write some about our times together. The book is full of moments spent with my<br />
family. (The Scottish section I should say!)<br /><b><br />4. How did you come up with the title?</b><br />I hummed and hawed about the title, because it is very simple. But it just did everything for the story. ‘Hiding’ is all about hiding, in many, many ways. So it was perfect, I think and the word itself has different meanings. Besides, we all identify with the need to hide,<br /> particularly in childhood.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>5. Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>growing up or as an adult?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I find that my prose resembles a contemporary Forster. I think I admire him so much that</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I shape my sentences accordingly. I am sure I am hugely influenced by literature, as a child and an adult. Tragedy is a huge driver in my novels. Writers like Solzhenitsyn made a significant impact on me as a youngster and I am always addressing heavy themes, in the hope of understanding. That</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
said, all my books are equally comedic. This is an aspect of my writing that I would find</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
difficult to change. Tragicomedy works best for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>6. When did you first start writing and when did you finish your book?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started this book the year before last and finished it last year. I spent about six months</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
writing it.</div>
<center>
<br /><b>7. What do you do when you are not writing?</b><br />I walk my dog. I travel – all my family live far away, so there’s lots of trips and we get a<br /> lot of visitors too. I like super fiendish sudoku. Reading novels, of course. Poetry. I like<br /> simple things: spending time with my family. I like foreign films and American box sets.<br /> Tennis, when my back permits!</center>
<center>
<br /><b>8. Do you have any advice to give to aspiring writers?</b></center>
<center>
Seek out like minded authors and share with them. Enjoy your work, it will show on the<br /> page when you do.</center>
<center>
<br /><b>9. Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans?</b></center>
<center>
Thank you. Come and say hello. Tell me what’s on your mind.</center>
<center>
<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;">Jenny Morton Potts was born in a smart, dull suburb of Glasgow where the only regular excitement was burglary. Attended a smart, dull school where the only regular excitement was the strap. Worked in smart, dull sales and marketing jobs until realising she was living someone else’s life. Escaped to Gascony to make gîtes. Knee deep in cement and pregnant, Jenny was happy. Then autism and a distracted spine surgeon who wanted to talk about The Da Vinci Code, wiped out the order. Returned to wonderful England – and unlikely ever to leave again – Jenny, with assistance from loyal hound, walked and swam her way back to manageable health. Jenny would like to see the Northern Lights but worries that’s the best bit and should be saved till last. Very happily, and gratefully, partnered for 28 years, she ought to mention, and living with inspirational child in Thaxted, Essex.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Well first off, I would probably never get a tattoo because I'm super scared of needles and the fact that it's permanent lol :) However, if I had to choose I'm not really sure. It would probably be pretty small and probably in an unseen place...maybe a small heart. What about you guys?</div>

All Giselle ever wanted was a family... who can accept her for what she is, a werewolf.<br />
<br />
In a world where supernatural creatures are not out and proud, this has been a problem for 16 year old Giselle. A child of the system, she's been bounced from home to home for as long as she can remember. As soon as the moon calls out her inner wolf, it's back into the system she goes.<br />
<br />
Against the odds, a new family is found for Giselle. One that may prove the answer to all her dreams and wishes. But this family comes with a deadly secret that could send Giselle six feet under instead of back into the system.<br />
<br />
Amid factions of warring witches and werewolves, and deadly curses with no hope for a cure, the way will not be an easy one, but if Giselle can call upon her skills as a lone wolf, she may just be able to unearth the truth keeping her from the one thing she's ever wanted... family.<br />

<h4 style="text-align: center;">
Review</h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really enjoyed this book! The fact that it dealt with the supernatural is what really captured my attention initially. This is a great story about family and finding your place. I loved the character Giselle because she wasn't some helpless female character who couldn't take care of herself. She was strong, quick witted, and just plain spunky lol which made the book even more enjoyable. I also really liked how the book didn't really center mainly about the fact she was a werewolf. Yes it was an important point but it wasn't the main underlying story. Now the romance!...this book shook things up with two love interests names Asher and Damien. I personally really like Asher because he has this mysterious bad boy vibe on the outside but on the inside he really is caring and sweet. Damien on the other hand is the really sweet guy on the inside and out and who just likes having fun. Can you guess which one she ended up with? This is a really great read for people who really enjoy supernatural reads but also loves a good story about the importance of family and the bond you share with them.</div>

Synopsis:</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The youngest of six talented sisters, Elyse d’Abreau was destined for stardom—until a boating accident took everything from her. Now, the most beautiful singer in Tobago can’t sing. She can’t even speak.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Seeking quiet solitude, Elyse accepts a friend’s invitation to Atargatis Cove. Named for the mythical first mermaid, the Oregon seaside town is everything Elyse’s home in the Caribbean isn’t: An ocean too cold for swimming, parties too tame for singing, and people too polite to pry—except for one.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Christian Kane is a notorious playboy—insolent, arrogant, and completely charming. He’s also the only person in Atargatis Cove who doesn’t treat Elyse like a glass statue. He challenges her to express herself, and he admires the way she treats his younger brother Sebastian, who believes Elyse is the legendary mermaid come to life. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When Christian needs a first mate for the Cove’s high-stakes Pirate Regatta, Elyse reluctantly stows her fear of the sea and climbs aboard. The ocean isn’t the only thing making waves, though—swept up in Christian’s seductive tide and entranced by the Cove’s charms, Elyse begins to wonder if a life of solitude isn’t what she needs. But changing course again means facing her past. It means finding her inner voice. And scariest of all, it means opening her heart to a boy who’s best known for breaking them . . .<br />

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div align="center">
<a href="http://www.armchairbea.com/" title="Armchair BEA"><img alt="Armchair BEA" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gQgl10Qr0cg/Uz4i8m7NsOI/AAAAAAAATT8/7irvlggT3B8/s1600/ArmchairBEA+LogoExample.png" style="border: none;" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hi! Today marks the 3rd day of Armchair BEA where we talk about our favorite couples and blogging in general :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
It's time to give your favorite characters some love! Characters are essential to a story, and they can make or break a book for some readers. Now's your chance to shine the spotlight on your favorite characters, or maybe your least favorite. Who's your favorite couple? What are the components of a well written character? What are you favorite or least favorite cliches associated with characters? </h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a really hard question....I have to many favorite characters to even know where to begin lol...I'm going to go old school and say Nancy Drew because without her I don't think I would have found my love of reading. :) My favorite couple I would say would be Edward and Bella from Twilight and more recently I would say Penelope and Char from Hold Me Like A Breath by Tiffany Schmidt.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
Blogging 101. All kinds of tips and tricks to get you started or keep you going. Talk about ARCs, reviewing in general, web design, etc. What blogging platform do you use? How do you network? What are some of your favorite web designs? Or maybe you want to talk about your own blogging journey, and how you got to where you are now. Either way, we want you to share your knowledge with the rest of the community!</h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
ARCs...when I first started out I would email tons of authors and publishers every day trying to just put myself out there. If they would provide an ARC that would be awesome and if not no big deal I would just see if I could get an interview or guest post instead. So in regards to ARCs I would just say don't give up. My reviews here are usually short and sweet and to the point. So if your reviews aren't super long thats ok just as long as you get your point across about how you liked the book. I love web design! If it weren't for book blogging I would not have found my love of web and graphic design....I even went so far as to major in it now that I'm in college :) I love changing up my designs and in fact the design I am using now I just designed a few days ago. I am currently working on networking through mediums such as twitter because I am not a big social network user but I'll get there :). It's definitely been a long journey in book blogging. For two years I consistently posted every day or every other day but as soon as I started college it got really hard to balance college, life, and blogging/reading to where my blogging really just kinda stopped and I didn't read as much. Now, I'm trying to find that balance because I really love blogging and the book blogging community itself and I love being able to share my love of reading with other book lovers.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div align="center">
<a href="http://www.armchairbea.com/" title="Armchair BEA"><img alt="Armchair BEA" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gQgl10Qr0cg/Uz4i8m7NsOI/AAAAAAAATT8/7irvlggT3B8/s1600/ArmchairBEA+LogoExample.png" style="border: none;" /></a></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hey guys! Today is day 2 of one of my favorite events but today is actually my first day since I missed Day 1. So todays topic is about Visual Expressions and Social Media.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
There are so many ways to tell stories. Whether it's comic books, graphic novels, visual novels, webcomics, etc, there are quite a lot of other mediums to tell a story. On this day, we will be talking about those books and formats that move beyond just words and use other ways to experience a story.</h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: justify;">As a college student studying graphic design I really appreciate graphic novels, manga, and things of that nature I just don't read a lot of them. It's fun to visualize in your head how characters look when reading a book and then seeing how artists visualize the characters in their head through comics. It's kinda of like movies...you have a visual in your mind of how a certain character looks in a book and its exciting to see how they visualize and portray that same character on screen...at least for me it is :)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
How do you use social media to expand your blogging/writing horizons? Social Media is all about networking and connections, and utilizing today's technology to the fullest. Make sure you mention your own social media pages. Do you have another blog, maybe a Tumblr? Have a Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook? Or maybe there's an underrated social media program that you like.</h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Honestly, I'm not a big social media person in general so when it comes to social media in regards to blogging I am really lacking. It's really something that I'm trying to work on because it is a great way to network and connect. One thing I do to make it easier for me is connecting my twitter to my Facebook page so that whenever I do make a post on twitter I don't have to worry about keeping Facebook updated as well. If you would like you can follow me via <a href="https://twitter.com/booksahoy15" target="_blank">Twitter</a> and/or <a href="https://www.facebook.com/booksahoy" target="_blank">Facebook</a> :)</div>

<br />
Publisher: Bloomsbury<br />
<br />
Release Date: May 19th 2015<br />
<br />
Synopsis:<br />
<br />
Penelope Landlow has grown up with the knowledge that almost anything can be bought or sold—including body parts. She’s the daughter of one of the three crime families that control the black market for organ transplants.<br />
<br />
<br />
Penelope’s surrounded by all the suffocating privilege and protection her family can provide, but they can't protect her from the autoimmune disorder that causes her to bruise so easily.<br />
<br />
<br />
And in her family's line of work no one can be safe forever.<br />
<br />
All Penelope has ever wanted is freedom and independence. But when she’s caught in the crossfire as rival families scramble for prominence, she learns that her wishes come with casualties, that betrayal hurts worse than bruises, that love is a risk worth taking . . . and maybe she’s not as fragile as everyone thinks.<br />

Review</h4>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is easily one of my favorite books I've read so far this summer. It has everything I love....love, thrill, and twists! One of my favorite things was watching the progression of Penelope as a character. She goes from this little girl trapped in a house to someone who roams freely living no longer like a fragile china doll. The love story is also great! I loved her with Garrett! I just thought they were the cutest ever so when she met Char and started falling for him I didn't like it all. As the story went on though Char definitely grew on me and I ended up loving them as a couple....they are just adorable! With thrillers comes twists and this book definitely has its fair share of twists along with tragedy. Overall this was a great book and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
You guys all know how I absolutely love the Truth or Dare series by Jacqueline Green! So today I will be bringing to you a review of the last book in the series called Kiss and Tell for the blog tour hosted by Paper Lantern Lit. I must say that it was a great ending to a great series!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Synopsis:</b></div>
<br />
Since their dangerous game of truth or dare began, Tenley Reed, Sydney Morgan, and Emerson Cunningham have lost almost everything. Closely guarded secrets, romantic relationships, and sought-after spots at the top of their school's social hierarchy-all gone in the blink of an eye.<br />
<br />
<br />
Now the darer has upped the stakes, leaving another body behind in the girls' isolated beach town of Echo Bay. And if they can't untangle the twisted web leading to whoever is behind the mysterious deaths, one of them could be next. But what happens when the trail leads to those they trusted, those they loved?<br />
<br />
<br />
Filled with intoxicating twists and shocking betrayals, the final installment in the Truth or Dare trilogy will keep readers guessing until the very end.<br />

<b>Review:</b></div>
<div>
My favorite genre is by far thriller YA books because they always keep you guessing and in suspense wanting to read more. If you are like me then you will absolutely love this book and this series! The story picks up a day after the events of the second book which was one thing that I really liked about it because it served as a refresher for what happened in the last book. This book made me feel so many emotions from happiness, to sadness, to excitement, and everything in between lol. This book definitely takes you on a whirlwind and keeps you guessing till the very end! I have adored this series till the very beginning and I'm sad to see it end but the way it ended was absolutely great! You guys should definitely check out this series.</div>

<div>
Hey guys! Happy Thursday!! So today I thought I would participate in a new meme created by <a href="http://wordswithsarah.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Words with Sarah</a> called TBR Thursday. I think this is a great way to reduce our ever growing TBR piles. So, what you do is you pick a book that's been in sitting in your TBR pile for a good while that you plan on reading/reviewing this week. However, I not only plan to pick a book in this post but also review a TBR book. So every Thursday I will have a review of a book that's been in my TBR pile for a while and also tell you which TBR book I will read the following week :) Today I will be reviewing out of my TBR pile Lost Girls by Ann Kelley...I will reveal what book I will review next Thursday at the end of my post.<br />

<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19px; text-align: left;">I really enjoyed reading this book. It reminded me of Lord of the Flies except with all girls instead of guys. This book is all about survival and the trials that the girls go through which causes them to have to grow up very quickly. I really liked the main character Bonnie because she presents herself as very strong and a great leader despite her age. I also loved her best friend. With every page turn there was a different adventure and that was one aspect of the book that I really enjoyed. If you like books that are suspenseful and all about survival then you will definitely love this book! </span><br />

<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Review</span></h4>
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I loved this book just as much as I loved the first book Truth or Dare! The plot still centers around 3 girls and picks up right where Truth or Dare left off. This book has so much suspense, romance, and mystery making for a great read. This books was definitely better than the last when it came to plot twists because it really keeps you guessing throughout the whole read. All of the underlying relationships also make the book a great read because you not only get the crazy mystery but you still get the regular high school romance drama. As I said in my review of Truth or Dare this is definitely a great series to start reading and the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because of its uncanny similarity to Pretty Little Liars but that is definitely not a deal breaker for me being a fan of the series myself. I can't wait for the last book in the trilogy to come out to see how this complex amazing story ends.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
Hey guys! Today I have for you an interview with Vivian Eve, author of Birthright. Let's get started! :)</div>
<br />
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">1. When did you first realize you wanted to be an author?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">As far back as I can remember, honestly. I almost always carried around notebooks to write down my ideas. I dabbled with typewriters before gaining access to computers; thankfully, I grew up in a generation where they were becoming an extremely common thing to own and use. So aside from a very dark period of my life where I almost completely gave up on writing, I could be frequently found typing away and stashing kernels of ideas into removable storage for future use.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">2. How long does it usually take to write a book?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Birthright took me around a year to actually write; fleshing out the characters/world and finishing the outline ups the time even more. I'm not a super fast writer, but I'm testing out ways to hopefully better streamline the process without suffering a drop in quality.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">3. What was your inspiration for the characters in Birthright?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">It's hard to pinpoint exactly. Once I conceived the overall plot, they fell into place naturally. There has been some tweaking here and there along the way, but the characters all turned out great. In the future, readers will get to see why I love each and every one of them—even the villains. ;)</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">4. Where did you get the idea of the storyline?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">My love of history, Arthurian legends, and the nagging voices of the characters who refused to be quiet about wanting their stories to be known to the world. I didn't set out to write a certain story or a specific genre; it just happened to come together that way.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">5. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">I already knew years ago that writing is hard, but I didn't realize just HOW hard. There's a lot that goes into it: worldbuilding, character creation/development, etc. And this isn't even getting into the technicality (grammar, punctuation, etc.) portion. Personally, I think seeing your stories through to the end is the hardest; writing novels takes a lot of patience, time, and learning. You need a ton of persistence and determination in this line of work (not to mention thick skin, but that's another story entirely).</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">6. Do you listen to music for inspiration as you write certain scenes?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">There's rarely a time when I'm not listening to music while writing. To help with my process, I'll also create playlists based on the story I'm writing. Sometimes, the songs will reflect a specific scene; other times, it'll be songs representing the overall theme/feel to keep myself in the mood of the world.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<h4 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">7. Do you have any suggestions to help people become a better writer? If so, what are they?</span></h4>
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; min-height: 14px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;">Read as much as you can, write as much as you can. Brush up on your grammar skills with some research and studying; there are tons of books about writing and language, and limitless sources on the web. Always strive for improvement; it's important to always be open to constructive criticism in order to improve your craft. Lastly, NEVER GIVE UP!</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thank you Vivian for taking out the time to let me interview you :) I will be posting a review of Birthright by Vivian Eve tomorrow.</div>

Review:</h4>
I loved this book!! The story was great and something different which I liked and lets not even get me started about all of the underlying love stories going on lol. You know how I am a sucker for love and this book really does bring that romantic aspect in multiple ways. There is a great amount of adventure in this book along with a small amount of mystery and just enough romance and action. This book made me laugh, cry, swoon, and everything else in between. The book really checks all of the boxes for me and has easily become one of my favorite books. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because of the frequent spelling errors. A lot of the words had "my" as a replacement for key letters in the word and "my" was used as a replacement for "her" which made it kinda difficult and confusing at times to get the gist of the situation but other than that it is a great book and I highly recommend taking out the time to read it. Eden Forest is the first book in a trilogy which I love because I can't wait to find out what happens next in Sarajane's journey.<br />

Aoife Marie Sheridan has loved reading from a very young age, starting off with mills and boon's books, given to by her grandmother her love for romances grew, by the age of 14 she had read hundreds of them. Aoife had a passion for writing poetry or in her eyes her journal entries. It was something she did throughout her teens and into her twenties. Aoife won first place for two of her poems and had them published at a young age of just nineteen. Realising she needed to get a real job (What writing isn't) she studied accountancy and qualified working in that field for many years, until her passion for reading returned and she found Maria V Snyder. Poison study one of her favourite books has been read and re-read countless times. Aoife's first book Eden Forest (Part one of the Saskia Trilogy) came to be after a dream of a man and woman on a black horse jumping through a wall of fire and the idea of Saskia was born. Now with her first novel published and taking first place for Eden Forest with Writers Got Talent 2013, Aoife continues to write tales of fantasy and is currently working on her third book for the Saskia Trilogy amongst other new works.

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hey guys! So, yesterday I reviewed Eden Forest by Aoife Marie Sheridan which will be linked to at the end of this post. Today I have for you all an interview from the author of the book, Aoife Marie Sheridan. First off, a thanks to Aoife for taking the time to let me interview you. Let's get started!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 0px; text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">When did you first realized you wanted to be an author?</span></span></h4>
<ol>
</ol>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Only recently believe it or not, like in the last year. I started writing as a way to release my emotions I lost two people so writing helped me get through it. I released my first book and then wrote the second as I was still in turmoil and it was my release. It’s not until now in the last year that I have realized just how much I love to write and I know I will never stopped. I think I am over my grieving process and now I can write through different eyes as such not just ones fuelled with grief. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">How long does it usually take to write a book?</span><span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"> </span></span></h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The first book took me a year, the second about nine months. The most recent about three months. I have also started about four other stories and they are all on different levels of completion. If I had the time, I can’t see why I wouldn’t write book in two months. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">What was your inspiration for the characters in Eden Forest?</span></span></h4>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">People around me, every character in Eden Forest represents people in my life. Every single one of the them. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Where did you get the idea of the storyline?</span></span></h4>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">One night I had a dream of a man and women on a horse, passing through a wall of fire. The dream lingered with me, as did my grief. So I started my story. My starting point was my dream and I worked my way from there. Eden Forest helped me once again deal with death, and all that comes with it. So in a way I am very grateful for this story. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">I always wondered why God created us and what was our purpose, but those questions are unanswered. So in my story I give you the answers for this world called Saskia. In the story God creates a world parallel to ours, for four fallen angels. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Death is something that I also question now, like why do we die, is 60 to 90yrs of life enough, imagine having immortality what would one do to gain it? And that’s where a lot of my plot lies. The greed for immortality, for power’s that only God should wield, drives Saskia into war.</span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">God decides to give one person all the powers that anyone could possess to banish evil, before it destroys Saskia and Earth. This one person happens to be a young lady called Sarajane Anderson who lives in the mortal world (Earth) but is actually from Saskia. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"></span><br /></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?</span></span></h4>
<ol>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">That I could create worlds and see them so vividly in my head. I was surprised that I could do this and like I said see it so clearly, I never would have imagined that I would be capable of something so creative. :) </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">Do you have any suggestions to help me become a better writer? If so, what are they?</span></span></h4>
<ol>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0.0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">I really feel that when I am writing that I often stop and think what would the reader want and it changes my story but I really think that you should write like no one will ever read it. So it stays true to your heart and your 100% behind your story. I find when I go off course thinking of some reading it, I stop and tell myself no one will ever read it, so tell the story the way I want to tell it. That would be my suggestion to writers. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><span style="letter-spacing: 0px;">Do you listen to music for inspiration as you write certain scenes?</span></span></h4>
<div style="margin-left: 36px; min-height: 16px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center;">
<span style="letter-spacing: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Yes, yes and yes. :) I love all type of music and create playlists that would suit each book before I start writing. If I get writers block I play the music and I start typing. It depends on the scene I’m writing but if it’s sad, powerful or just world building I will play the song that I have allocated to each of these. It does the trick for me. </span></span></div>

Hey guys! So, today I have for you a review of The Savages by Matt Whyman. I meant to get it out yesterday but didn't get a chance to so here it is. So let me tell you guys what this book was all about :)<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<br /><a href="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1359843627l/17315389.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="17315389" border="0" src="https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1359843627l/17315389.jpg" /></a>They'd love to have you for dinner....<br />Sasha Savage is in love with Jack - a handsome, charming...vegetarian. Which wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that Sasha's family are very much 'carnivorous'. Behind the family facade all is not as it seems. Sasha's father rules his clan with an iron fist and her mother's culinary skills are getting more adventurous by the day. When a too-curious private detective starts to dig for truths, the tight-knit family starts to unravel - as does their sinister taste in human beings...</blockquote>
<br />
And now for the review....Honestly this book was a struggle to get through. It took me almost a month and a half to finish because it really didn't draw me in or get my attention. However, I didn't really want to create a DNF review so I keep reading. I liked the underlying love story of course but that was really the only thing that keep me reading. The book does have an interesting concept which is one good thing about this book because it is pretty unique and the writing was great but all in all I just don't think it was the book for me. But, if you are into books that have a little out there storyline with a strong family bond present in it along with a dash of love then you may love this book. But that are my views of the book. If you have read this book as well I would love to hear your thoughts. I hope you all are having a Happy Father's Day! :)<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
So starting next week every Thursday I will have a review of a book that's been in my TBR pile for a while and also tell you which TBR book I will read the following week :) But today I will just tell you which TBR book I will read/review next week since its the first post. </div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I chose....*drum roll please*....Lost Girls by Ann Kelley!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zmTCI7Cy1PI/U5oiRiJoaqI/AAAAAAAAR34/GMwlnUhTeKU/s1600/51Qt2FFUzDL.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zmTCI7Cy1PI/U5oiRiJoaqI/AAAAAAAAR34/GMwlnUhTeKU/s1600/51Qt2FFUzDL.jpg" height="320" width="211" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This book sounds awesome! I can definitely see why I wanted to review it in the first place :) Here's the synopsis:</div>

Hey guys welcome to day 2! So I have had only one physical interaction with an author at my local book festival with the author Roger Reid. I got so nervous when I asked him to sign my books lol. However, I have spoken with many others online. When I first started out as a book blogger, emailing an author was very intimidating to me but now not so much because every author I have spoken with has been really super nice! A tip that I learned along the way working with authors is to be polite and respectful when requesting a book for review but don't be nervous because more than likely they are really nice and more than willing to let you review their novel.<br />

<br />
Hey guys! My name is Cierra and I run Books Ahoy. :) I have been book blogging on Books Ahoy since 2011 and have had a blast doing it! I got into book blogging because I absolutely love reading. I came across some book blogs and thought it would be a cool idea to start one of my own and the rest is history. If I could describe my blog I would describe it as fun and bookish. My genre of book is Young Adult because it seems more relatable. I love to read because even when you are sitting in your bed reading a book you are transported somewhere else mentally living and learning about someone else's life and I love it! My favorite blogging resource is www.bookblogs.ning.com because it is a great way to get your book blog out there especially if you are a newcomer. Check me out on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/booksahoy" target="_blank">Facebook</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/booksahoy15" target="_blank">Twitter</a> as well :) Happy Armchair BEA!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by <a href="http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Breaking the Spine</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="17565845" src="https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1374066076l/17565845.jpg" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Panic began as so many things do in Carp, a dead-end town of 12,000 people in the middle of nowhere: because it was summer, and there was nothing else to do.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Heather never thought she would compete in Panic, a legendary game played by graduating seniors, where the stakes are high and the payoff is even higher. She’d never thought of herself as fearless, the kind of person who would fight to stand out. But when she finds something, and someone, to fight for, she will discover that she is braver than she ever thought.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Dodge has never been afraid of Panic. His secret will fuel him, and get him all the way through the game, he’s sure of it. But what he doesn't know is that he’s not the only one with a secret. Everyone has something to play for.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For Heather and Dodge, the game will bring new alliances, unexpected revelations, and the possibility of first love for each of them—and the knowledge that sometimes the very things we fear are those we need the most.</div>

<i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12.0pt;">Seven days aboard a luxury cruise. The<br />
perfect getaway from it all.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
At least, that’s what Georgia Cantwell was hoping for.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
Georgia wishes she could run away from the nightmare that has consumed her<br />
life, but she can’t. With her inbox filling with menacing emails, all she can<br />
do is try to get through her sorority’s winter break cruise without anyone<br />
realizing how wrecked she is. So she really doesn’t need Jace McLaren seeing<br />
through her tacked-on smile when no one else seems to notice.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
Growing up with a father in jail, Jace knows from experience that if you’re<br />
going through hell, there’s no way out but through. He has always steered away<br />
from girls like Georgia with her ice-queen attitude, but she’s in real trouble,<br />
and despite himself he pushes past her walls.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
As much as Georgia tries to ignore it, Jace won’t let her pretend with him. But<br />
she can’t risk telling him the truth. Her past would ruin his trust, her<br />
family, her future—everything.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
But out on the open ocean, there’s nowhere to hide. And when Georgia’s secrets<br />
come tumbling out, it might take more than Jace to save her.</span></i></div>

Happy WoW Wednesday! Waiting on Wednesday is a meme created by <a href="http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Breaking the Spine</a> where you talk about one book whose release date you are anxiously awaiting. My WoW this week is Sinner by Maggie Stiefvater! Sinner is a standalone companion to the Wolves of Mercy Falls series which I loved, so I am absolutely stoked about this upcoming release. Check out the synopsis below:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1386955513l/18406862.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="18406862" border="0" height="320" src="https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1386955513l/18406862.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from the #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver Trilogy. Everybody thinks they know Cole's story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole's darkest secret -- his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel's life. Can this sinner be saved?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
