Review: Enclave by Ann Aguirre

Hey guys!!!  I am here to give you my thoughts on the amazing book, Enclave by Ann Aguirre. I could not put this book down until I finished it, which was around 4:00am this morning.  First, I want to show you guys the trailer:

I just have to say that that was a pretty awesome trailer and now that I've drawn you guys in I can tell you the synopsis and then we'll get to the review!

Enclave (Razorland, #1)
In Deuce’s world, people earn the right to a name only if they survive their first fifteen years. By that point, each unnamed ‘brat’ has trained into one of three groups–Breeders, Builders, or Hunters, identifiable by the number of scars they bear on their arms. Deuce has wanted to be a Huntress for as long as she can remember. As a Huntress, her purpose is clear—to brave the dangerous tunnels outside the enclave and bring back meat to feed the group while evading ferocious monsters known as Freaks. She’s worked toward this goal her whole life, and nothing’s going to stop her, not even a beautiful, brooding Hunter named Fade. When the mysterious boy becomes her partner, Deuce’s troubles are just beginning. Down below, deviation from the rules is punished swiftly and harshly, and Fade doesn’t like following orders. At first she thinks he’s crazy, but as death stalks their sanctuary, and it becomes clear the elders don’t always know best, Deuce wonders if Fade might be telling the truth. Her partner confuses her; she’s never known a boy like him before, as prone to touching her gently as using his knives with feral grace. As Deuce’s perception shifts, so does the balance in the constant battle for survival. The mindless Freaks, once considered a threat only due to their sheer numbers, show signs of cunning and strategy… but the elders refuse to heed any warnings. Despite imminent disaster, the enclave puts their faith in strictures and sacrifice instead. No matter how she tries, Deuce cannot stem the dark tide that carries her far from the only world she’s ever known. (Goodreads)

I loved this book!  Once I got into it and started reading it I couldn'it put it down until it was finished.  There are so many things to love about this book.  First of all, I loved all the action between Deuce and Fade and the Freaks.  Almost everywhere they go they end up fighting Freaks which keeps you alert and interested the whole way through the book.  Another thing I loved was the romance of course!  Deuce and Fade's relationship was so cute.  I loved how he stuck up for her and always stayed by her side.  He did make me a little angry sometimes when he didn't just say how he felt to Deuce, but you know when your reading a good book when the characters actually make you feel emotion.  There was also a sort of love triangle too that started to form which I thought was pretty cool.  It was alittle surprising because your into the book and you don't really see it until its thrown right infront of your face.  Then its like, how did I miss that?  There was not only romance and action but there was also alot of tradegy.  With all the Freak attacks many people dying, which took a toll on everyone but mostly Fade.  You are kind of kept in the dark as to where the book is set but at the end its revealed and I was really surprised.  If you really pay attention to the details you might realize it before the end unlike me.  Overall, this was a great book and and I can't wait for the second book to come out!
